In a meeting held in the kilometer 0 of the Pipeline of Federal Integration in La Carlota, Córdoba, he carried out the commissioning of the Reversal of the Pipeline North with the Energy that Argentina began to bring about the transformation of the national energy matrix.
The conclusion of the first phase involved the construction of a gas pipeline 122.8 miles of 36-inch diameter between La Carlota and Tio Pujio to connect gas Pipelines Center-West and the North, and 51 kilometres of loops between Tío Pujio and Ferreyra, with pipes of 30 inches in diameter.
Thus, the gas transportation capacity of the system up to 15 million cubic meters per day for the provinces of Córdoba, Tucumán, La Rioja, Catamarca, Santiago del Estero, Salta and Jujuy are able to stock up with more natural gas from Vaca Muerta. This represents a saving on energy imports of up to 1,000 million dollars due to the replacement of the import of gas from Bolivia.
The project of reversal, which involves changing the direction of the gas flow ceases to be imported gas from NORTH to SOUTH to start getting gas from domestic production from SOUTH to NORTH, represented an inversion of 740 million, with funding primarily from a loan from the CAF. And for the execution of the work contracted to companies BTU and UTE Sacde – Techint.
In the meantime, is moving forward with the work in other 11 miles of loops and the reversal of the compressor plants located in the cities of Light, Lavalle, Dean Funes and Ferreyra, which will allow to carry up to 19 million cubic meters of gas per day to the northern provinces.
